Our Natalia
Since
Natalia's birth and
genetic profile/diagnosis of FULL Trisomy 13
on August 25, 2000 our lives have been filled with
the healing power of prayer, new friends and an
amazing trisomy 13 journey. The first year was the
most difficult, adjusting to the many changes a
special needs child brings. But as the years have
progressed, we¹ve come to feel very blessed to have
a child with such an amazing soul. She is love in
the purest form, truly a gift from God. She has not
only blessed our lives but many who¹ve come in
contact with her.

Trisomy 13 - Patau
Syndrome
As of Feb. 2007, over 140 families share their
trisomy13 journey. Many photos and slideshows of
children being loved by their families despite the
visual, mental and physical abnormities that come
with this diagnosis. These stories of love will
touch your heart. Contrary to much of the text
written on this syndrome. These kids can in some
cases, reach their parents arms.

Is your child blind or has a severe visual impairment?
Do you live in Southern California? More specifically,
Orange County? I would highly recommend considering
placement of your child with visual impairments into
this "total communication program". In just this first
year Natalia has made great strides in her cognitive and
motor development. They have a wonderful caring staff
and the children who have been placed in this program
from infancy have made tremendous progress. It would be
my great pleasure to assist you in finding the resources
and advocates to help your child attend this school.

We somehow fell through the cracks and did not
understand the real benefit of this program with
Natalia's special needs. Many services seemed to look at
her cognitive delays and her syndrome. Here they looked
at what she could do with the vision she has, it has
made all the difference. This school is the best Orange
County California has to offer for the visually
impaired.
